Jemison Flats is comprised of three historic buildings in Birmingham's Central Business district. The buildings were renovated for 59 luxury loft-style apartments, 25,000 square feet of office space, an exercise facility, and a parking deck.

The entire street-scape around the block was renovated. Some existing paving was preserved with new concrete and brick paving with street trees introduced.

An urban pocket park was developed for use of the tenants and the Southeast corner of the block. A grass lawn the foreground of a water fall fountain. Seating and a bocce court are protected from street noise by a row of Bosque Elms and a Cherry Laurel hedge. Locally grown bamboo has been introduced at the gateway.
